Mexico City's ornate central post office, completed in 1907 in an eclectic style blending Art Nouveau, Gothic and Venetian influences, designed by Italian architect Adamo Boari (who also designed the nearby Palacio de Bellas Artes). Still a fully functioning post office today, its elaborate bronze staircases and marble interior made it an ideal stand-in for a grand fictional bank.
Appears in Licence to Kill as the interior of "Banco de Isthmus", the bank where Bond makes a large deposit as part of his plan to provoke Sanchez.
