Old War Office Building

A grand Edwardian Baroque building completed in 1906 on Whitehall in central London, the Old War Office served as the headquarters of the British Army's administration for most of the 20th century, playing a central role in both World Wars. The building was sold and redeveloped into a luxury hotel in the 2020s.

Appears in Octopussy, A View to A Kill and Licence to Kill in establishing shots representing MI6 Headquarters. In Skyfall it can be seen as one of the buildings in the London skyline as Bond is on standing on the roof near the end of the film.
