Heatherden Hall is a grand Edwardian country house at the heart of Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, built in 1908 and originally the private home of a Canadian financier. The estate was purchased and converted into Pinewood Studios in 1934 and has been the home of British film production ever since. The house itself, with its sweeping staircase, period rooms and formal gardens, has served as a filming location in countless productions.
Appears in Dr. No as the British Ambassadors residence; in From Russia with Love as the SPECTRE training island; and in Octopussy again as the British Ambassadors residence in East Berlin.
