Reynolds Pier is an industrial bauxite loading pier at Discovery Bay on Jamaica's north coast in Ocho Rios. It is now used for cruise ship docking and exporting sugar.
Built in the 1950s to service the Kaiser Reynolds bauxite mining operation. Jamaica was one of the worlds largest bauxite producers in the mid-20th century and Discovery Bay became a key export point. The pier extends into the turquoise waters of Discovery Bay, a natural harbour some historians believe was where Christopher Columbus first landed in Jamaica in 1494.
The pier and surrounding industrial facilities double as Dr. Nos underground laboratory complex on Crab Key and appears in external scenes when Bond and Honey Rider escape from the exploding facility.
