The Contra Dam on the Verzasca River in Switzerland is more commonly known as the Verzasca Dam. Constructed between 1961 and 1965, it creates the Lago di Vogorno reservoir and is the fourth tallest dam in Switzerland.

In Goldeneye, the dam appears in the opening scene of the film where Bond bungee jumps from the dam to gain access to Arkhangelsk Chemical Weapons Facility.
